B vs. J
However, Accepted may be the best shallow-teen-comedy-with average-box-office- sales of the summer. Shockingly witty dialogue, and a non-disgusting performance from the overweight loser friend. He even gets the girl with minimal embarrasement, not to mention a mentioning of Jazz trombone. Despite its cast of unknowns, the ensemble performance was surprisingly on the mark. I loved it.
Now, for Little Miss Sunshine, what more can be said about a revolting little girl who gets to compete in a state beauty pageant and must be driven from New Mexico to California in a yellow VW bus (with clutch problems) with her gay uncle, overbearingly positive father, mute (temporarily) brother, dirty old grandfather, and pushover of a mother; all the while encountering heartache, death, peer pressure, failure, anger, sadness, illegal activity, contemptful people, and ultimately finding yourself. Magic. One of those "quiet" movies that has a very realistic feel to it. Despite the inhumane treatment of the beauty pageant girls, it was original and terribly funny.

I finally had a very brief conducting lesson w/ the R. Hopefully I'll get better. To the band: I'm sorry I suck, its like being a freshman all over again :-)
Still can't pick a college, but I really like how they make us tirelessly research and compare.
I am toying with making a major lifestyle change, but can't decide if it's the right time...

It's ok Andrew, you don't suck that bad. It's just that Tara was so good...

Wow, that was mean. I'm sure he meant it in a good way. Truthfully, Andrew, I think you're doing quite fine for having never done this before. Some of the drum majors at leadership camp were downright horrific. You're doing fine.

Nobody is just good at being drum major. In all honesty, you guys only had Tara her second year.

I didn't take offense. However, I think Tara was anazingly devoted in a way that I can't be...that is until she got in Choir
