Travesty
Things like this make me sick. As I understand it, Jimmy Urmin's parents brought up a complaint against Mr. Rutherford at the school board meeting on Monday and just ripped him apart with vindictive accusations. If the band kids recall, on Tuesday he spoke of having a rough night the previous night. Jimmy's parents were angered that Jimmy could not take lessons from Mr. Dunning (the sax lesson teacher) without being in the marching band, when in fact he was perfectly allowed to. Mr. R stood up for Mr. Dunning and said that he would leave if they made him fire Mr. Dunning. Mr. Rutherford is the only thin thread holding the band together, and if he is driven off by some bitchy, overprotective parent!!!!! Nothing I can say will do it justice. Read the article from the Courier-Gazette. Pay particular attention to how Mrs. Urmin speaks of the marching band and of band camp, it is utterly laughable. Link is in the title and here. So, it might be nice if some people let Mr. R know that we appreciate and support him.

What the HELL type of disability does Jimmy "Freakin'" Urmin have!?! Really!?!
I couldn't even finish reading the article, it was so infuriating and inacurate. All the school officials and administrators said that everything was done correctly, etc. and there's STILL an issue. WTF!
When I read it, I also was trying to think what physical disability Jimmy has. Besides the fact that he is pshyco, I don't think band camp would kill him. Some parents are rallying and we are going to try to gather a group of students to speak at the next school board meeting.
Count me in.
Who's trying to pin it on Jimmy? We know it's all his parents. We just want to make sure things don't turn sour for Mr. R, that's all.
Jimmy is a reflection of his parents, anyway. But, besides that, if Mr. Rutherford is fired, the band program will fall apart.
wow, shit be going down. damned frivolous lawsuits! if he doesn't want to march, stick his ass in the pit. this jimmy obviously doesn't understand how sexually fulfilling marching band can be!
