I have a new love

I just saw a movie starring Chris Stafford. Itwas old, but he's made a few more recent films. He is so amazing, I don't know why he isn't more widely used. Go see everything he's in.

Apparently, Australia is in need of a football player like me

I received some time ago a letter asking me to participate in a world football cup held in Australia wherein I would be a representative of Texas. Here is a clickable pic in which you can read the whole thing. I cannot believe how an organization could be more off the mark, and where they got the idea that I cared about sports...

To be random, Conan just referenced an earlier interview with Alan Cumming while interviewing Stephen Colbert. And, Ima Robot is currently my favorite band (this is subject to the whims of my fancy). I have to see Smokin' Aces and Alpha Dogs.

Maybe they saw the picture of you in your uniform with a saxophone. Music and sports is a hot combination these days...

On the other hand, you did say that your name is about as generic as it gets. You should do it and see what they do when you show up.

Who Knew?

I have to take a moment to dote on BPA. I think its so cool that I actually get to make real decisions as President and do actual things that effect the club. I also like that I've found success in the competitive events, for a change. I think it's funny that the business club is the most fun.

I'm so lonesome

I cry when I watch Ten Things I Hate About You
I wish I had a stalker
The Bell Jar makes sense
I should be an emo kid

Snow Day...

...or I guess its really an ice day. This is awesome, becasue yesterday I was sick *cough**cough*, but now I don't know what to do with myself. I have to thank Trisha, because she called me when I was about to leave at 7 this morning and told me we were delayed. So, I'm glad I didn't get to be the loser that went all the way to Celina.

Fundamentally Flawed

So, BETA convention, even though it was cut short, was awesome. I had so much fun, and I don't even know why. I met the most awesome people from Aubrey (I swear I knew some of them, already, but couldn't place them precisely), I chilled with Paige, and voted for my next BETA idol, LorAnn Garrett. I know I sucked at the math competition, but I was actually excited to use my derivative, integral, and sigma rules. I even got to implement Pascal's triangle. (I'm sure y'all are on the edge of your seats about the math test). Of course, on the trip down, we broke one of Mrs. Carey's blacklights and had to replace it. I don't know where we'll find another shaman to bestoy the powers of bobcat spirit on the new bulb, though.
The stupid ice forced us home early, so I'm hiding out with Trisha for the night so I don't have to go home. My parents still think I'm in Dallas--tee hee.
So, all my high spirits came crashing down when I realized about 90 minutes ago that I am only good at being people's friends. I am doomed to wander the planet alone like the incredible hulk or something.

Deferral

So, as it turns out, I am now an understudy in this year's One Act Play. While I was getting used to the idea of having free time, I am now thinking that I'm actually happy to be a part of everything once again. I have minimal commitment, and it allows me some undivided time to work on schoolwork and library work.
I am, however, somewhat worried about Jazz Band, because I don't really feel like I'm going to be able to be into it, you know. I just have to make it to the end.

i had a little of it last year with classes ("i don't really HAVE to go...") and with relationships ("my time is too valuable for you and your bullshit"), but i'm not really seeing it with extracurrics. in fact, just last semester, i added political radio cohost and men's volleyball team to my long ass list.

marching = strong calves = high vertical jump.

my vert is around 40 inches. just for comparison purposes, the bobcat with the highest vert in the weight room has a 29 inch.

When life gives you lemons, make lemonade. Then, find someone who life gave vodka and have a party.

So, I had the pleasure of accompanying Trisha to her best friend, the lovely Phillipino, Nicole's, birthday party yesterday. All that I knew about Nicole was that she liked purple childish things, so I got her a sparkly purple My Little Pony, some spearamint Orbit gum, an eyelash curler, a "birthday princess" party hat, and a hello kitty bag to put it all in.
Being there made me realize that there is close to no diversity in Celina, and that all the colleges that talk up their diversity may not be trying to spin a negative thing after all. It was fun to meet people who were...different. Not bad, not weird, just different.
So, after we left, we were disheartened to find that McDonald's was closed at 12:30. However, the one is Frisco was opened, which officially makes the score Frisco: 1 Richardson:0
